Sweet Root has a Vision
of
Us All Singing!

We invite the Harmony of our voices to sing songs inspired by the land. We envision elders singing with youth - Wisdom with Spirit; from the Native Songs that arose with a close relationship to the land; to the Song Keepers in the community who’ve heard the melodies of the rivers and land too; and songs heard by immigrants & other languages who've loved this valley well. There’s enough love here for all of us! We just have to be with It. Listen for It. And sing in Harmony with It. May we sing & share our voices in a way that honors the love within the land and within us all! May we feel the Harmony of the Music within!May we sing our song!

Recently 80-100 Refugees were given Refuge in Carbondale at the 3rds Street Center. In the town where we live!
We’ve played Music with them as a way to share comfort and provide a welcoming peace.
It’s been a beautiful blessing to share song as our first language! And smiles as our second! :)
